Ottawa Housekeeping Angels Inc. is committed to respecting the personal privacy and personal information of all our customers and employees. We will not use or disclose personal information about a customer or employee to any third party without their expressed written consent.

Our Commitments

In order to offer and provide quality house cleaning services, Ottawa Housekeeping Angels must collect, use and disclose information in relation to our customers. This information is personal, which is why we make the following commitments to our customers.

Identifying Purposes

Ottawa Housekeeping Angels will only collect the personal information necessary to provide Ottawa Housekeeping Angels customers with high quality residential cleaning services.

Ottawa Housekeeping Angels does not collect, use or disclose personal information about a customer to a third party without the consent of the customer, except where required by law or as authorized to do so by the Privacy Act. 

Limiting Collection

From time to time Ottawa Housekeeping Angels may disclose personal information about our customers to an authorized agent of Ottawa Housekeeping Angels, on a temporary basis in order to determine how our cleaning service is meeting customer needs and how we can better meet those needs.

Personal information that is no longer required to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected will be shredded and disposed of in a manner that safeguards the confidentiality of the information. 

Safeguards

Ottawa Housekeeping Angels uses a password protected software program that has a database which contains personal information about a customer. Ottawa Housekeeping Angels also collects in written form, personal information about a customer and this information is kept in a secure location with controlled access. 

Openness

Personal information about a customer, including but not limited to their name, address and telephone number, must be disclosed to employees of Ottawa Housekeeping Angels to provide the cleaning service. Ottawa Housekeeping Angels employees have acknowledged their requirements to maintain the explicit confidentiality of this information and will only use it to fulfill the requirements of their employment with Ottawa Housekeeping Angels. Personal information entrusted to employees of Ottawa Housekeeping Angels is at all times kept confidential and secure.

Individual Access

Ottawa Housekeeping Angels customers are entitled to examine the personal information held regarding them, subject to the restrictions provided by law, and may request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete information. If applicable, we will disclose this information to the person concerned or rectify it promptly.
